Artisans work the design tuft by tuft with a hand-tufting gun, building up pile height and texture entirely by eye.
On designs that call for it, sections of the pile are hand-carved to create raised, sculptural texture.
Each rug is washed by hand to clean the wool, set the pile, and bring out the true depth of colour.
Edges are bound by hand and the anti-skid canvas backing is applied for stability underfoot.
